WASHINGTON, D.C., OCTOBER 4, 2017 — Adams Morgan PorchFest, DC’s most creative musical festival, features 44 local bands, all playing throughout the neighborhood on 16 porches or stoops this Saturday, October 7. With a creative diversity of musical genres, the bands range from rap to reggae and rockabilly. The line-ups for this weekend’s #AdMoPorchFest are spectacular and varied:
1:30 pm:
The event kicks off with a performance by Afro-Brazilian percussion band Batalá at 1:30 pm at the event headquarters at BB&T Bank Plaza (18th Street and Columbia Road NW). Maps will be available at this location until 6 pm.

“Adams Morgan remains the best place in the District to experience live and local music seven days a week,” said Kristen Barden, Executive Director of the Adams Morgan Partnership Business Improvement District, which organizes the event. “These 44 bands represent just a small sample of the creative energy in our region, and without them and our porch hosts, this event would not be possible.”
The Porches
Each porch or stoop will host three 45-minute sets between 2 pm and 6 pm. Meander the delightful, tree-lined streets of Adams Morgan, enjoy local music, then stop into a local business for shopping and dining. The full list of locations follows:
